SCHEDULING
- For in-person sessions, please use the on-line booking system by clicking the "Book Now" button found on this website or call 484-764-5056.
- To schedule virtual Somatic Experiencing® or coaching sessions, please call 484-764-5056 for availability.
No need to arrive early for your appointment, but please do arrive on time. The office is located on the second floor directly above Rhino Chiropractic.
When you schedule on-line, the system will intuitively prompt you through the booking process and send a confirmation email. New clients will also receive an email request to complete a secure, on-line, HIPPA compliant intake form.
A password protected account can be created from the on-line scheduling portal. This provides additional security for client health forms and notes, and allows you to view and amend appointments, update your intake form, check credit or gift certificate balances, and send communication to the office. Rest assured that your email and account information will not be sold or used by any third party providers.
POLICIES
Cancellations
Please give at least 48 hours advanced notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. Clients who are unable to notify me within 48 hours will be responsible for 50% of the session fee. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged 100% of the session fee. Some exceptions are considered for unexpected emergencies or illness.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session will be shortened in order to accommodate the appointments after yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, I reserve the right to determine if there is enough time to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the full session fee.
No Show
Anyone who forgets or chooses to forgo their scheduled appointment will be billed via Square Invoice for the missed appointment.
Illness
I see a variety of people in my practice including folks with compromised immune systems or have high risk concerns regarding Covid. If you are feeling unwell or are experiencing respiratory or Covid symptoms such as sore throat, fever, headache intestinal issues please contact me to reschedule your appointment.
Scope of Practice
My work is intended to support stress reduction, stress management, pain reduction, relief from soft-tissue tension, and somatic awareness. Physical movement, touch work, and verbal discussion are part of the process. I am not certified as a mental health practitioner or licensed physician and do not diagnose conditions, prescribe medical treatment or pharmaceuticals, or provide spinal manipulation.
Confidentiality
Client information is maintained and stored in a HIPPA compliant electronic system. Client privacy and confidentiality will be upheld unless disclosure is required by law or court order. Your written permission will be obtained before any information is released to another healthcare provider
Massage Work Draping
Clients receiving massage will always be appropriately draped with a sheet and/or towel during their treatment. Only areas of the body that are currently being treated will be exposed. The breast and genital areas will always remain draped and never massaged.
Somatic Touch Work
Coaching and Somatic Experiencing clients are not required to undress and always remain fully clothes. Somatic touch work is not intended to manipulate or force change in muscles or soft tissue. Somatic Touch includes self-touch, the practitioner's physical touch with client consent, or physical movement.
Sliding Scale
Sliding Scale fees are intended to help bridge the inequity gaps often found in healthcare and self-care therapies. I believe that unemployment or underemployment, rebuilding life after a period of instability, being part of an under-resourced community, or financially struggling to meet basic needs should not be a barrier to receiving services like therapeutic bodywork.
My regular rates range from $100 to $140 and I ask that those who can pay my set fees, please do so. If you cannot, you are no less deserving of self-care support. If we are a good fit, please propose a fee that feels congruent with your current financial situation.
Pay It Forward Tips & Gratuities
Tips and gratuities are never requested or expected. However, if you are inspired and have the financial ability to include a gratuity, all additional payments are used to help subsidize Sliding Scale appointments for folks who would otherwise have limited access to my work due to financial challenges, inequalities, or inequities. Any amount is greatly appreciated, and you can include a "Pay It Forward Gratuity" when you pay for your appointment.
